In extreme cases, dehydration can lead to mental health issues such as hallucinations and delirium, making it important to stay hydrated in order to maintain mental health.
Fortunately, hydration is relatively easy to maintain. It’s recommended that adults consume at least 8 glasses of water per day in order to stay hydrated. Additionally, it’s important to pay attention to other signs of dehydration such as decreased energy, dry mouth, headache, and irritability. If you experience any of these symptoms, consume water immediately and take preventative measures to ensure your mental health is not affected.
