NuRich started with a simple, uncomfortable observation: bottled water — one of the most basic human needs — has become one of the most wasteful industries on the planet.
Roughly 50 billion plastic water bottles are sold in the United States each year. Less than 30% get recycled. The rest end up in landfills, on roadsides, and in waterways — eventually breaking into microplastics that make their way back into the water supply we're all drinking from.
That's the loop we're trying to break.
The Problem Is Bigger Than It Looks
Single-use plastic water bottles aren't just a litter problem. They're a system problem. Plastic bottles require petroleum to produce, emit CO₂ in manufacturing and shipping, and most never actually get recycled despite the recycling symbol on the bottom.
Recycling infrastructure in the US recovers only a fraction of what's produced. The plastic that isn't captured travels through storm drains, rivers, and coastal areas — where it fragments into smaller and smaller pieces that are nearly impossible to clean up at scale.
The oceans are the end of that pipeline. Estimates put the current amount of plastic in the world's oceans at over 150 million metric tons, growing by approximately 8 million metric tons every year. That number isn't slowing down meaningfully under current conditions.
What NuRich Is Doing About It
We're a small company with a clear commitment: for every product sold, we remove 10,000 plastic bottles from waterways.
That's not a marketing line — it's the foundation of why NuRich exists. We work with waterway cleanup organizations to fund real, documented removals. Not just awareness campaigns. Actual plastic out of actual water.
We're also building toward something larger: a fully vertical supply chain for clean water — from sourcing land to a finished product in your hands — with as little single-use plastic in the chain as possible. That means reusable bottles now, and eventually fresh water in 100% recyclable aluminum cans and 3–5 gallon delivery options that eliminate the plastic jug entirely.
The Products We Make Today
Our core lineup is built around what most people actually need: a bottle that keeps water cold all day, and accessories that work.
The NuRich 18 oz Sports Water Bottle ($14.99) is vacuum-insulated stainless steel with a wide mouth, sweat-proof powder coat, and a carry-friendly design that fits most cup holders. It's our original and our best seller — the one that started everything.
The NuRich 32 oz Sports Water Bottle ($29.99) holds enough to keep most people hydrated through a full workday or hike on a single fill. Same insulation, leak-proof straw lid, same commitment behind it.
We also make replacement lids, golf accessories, and fitness tools — all designed to extend the life of what you already own rather than push you to replace it.
Why Winder, Georgia
NuRich operates out of Winder, GA. We're not a venture-backed startup chasing a billion-unit exit. We're a company that believes the water you drink matters, the container it comes in matters, and the cumulative impact of the purchases people make matters — even when each individual purchase is small.
Every order helps fund a cleanup. Every reusable bottle replaces hundreds of single-use ones over its lifetime. Small decisions compound in ways that are easy to underestimate.
What We're Building Toward
The long-term vision for NuRich is a fully controlled, clean water pipeline — land acquisition, filtration, distribution, and a finished product that arrives in your hands without a trail of plastic behind it. We're in the early stages of that. Every sale brings it closer.
In the meantime, the most direct thing you can do is buy a reusable bottle, use it until it's worn out, and tell one other person why you switched. That's genuinely it. The rest compounds.
