Straw Lid Care: How to Fix a Clogged or Slow-Drawing Straw

If your straw lid has slowed to a trickle, the fix is almost always cleaning, not replacement. A slow-drawing straw comes down to three things: a clogged or collapsed straw, a bite valve or spout gummed up with residue, or a blocked air path that stops water from rising. Why a straw lid slows down
A straw lid is a small pump. When you sip, you create low pressure at the mouthpiece and water climbs the tube to meet it. A straw that is clean but still weak is usually an airflow problem.
