The Muscle Roller After a Long Flight: Why Your Legs Feel Wrecked and What Actually Helps

A long flight does something specific to your body that a long car ride does not quite replicate. You are seated in a fixed, cramped position for hours, often with your knees bent at a sharper angle than they would be in a chair, at a cabin altitude equivalent to roughly 6,000 to 8,000 feet. For post-flight recovery specifically, the target muscles are straightforward: calves, quads, hamstrings, hip flexors, and the thoracic spine.
