How Much Water Do You Actually Lose in a Day? The Insensible-Loss Breakdown

Even on a quiet day with no workout, a resting adult loses somewhere around 2 to 2.5 liters of water — and a surprising share of it disappears without you noticing. Most people picture sweating as the main way water leaves the body, but urine does the heavy lifting, and about a liter a day slips out invisibly through your breath and skin. Urine: the biggest, most visible channel

Your kidneys are the main exit. Sweat is the wildcard.
