The same body of research that documents the problem also points to what reduces it: posture education, workload management, scheduled breaks during long practice sessions, and early physical therapy rather than waiting until pain becomes disabling. Progressive grip and forearm strengthening exercises are a standard piece of that physical-therapy toolkit for overuse conditions—not because a stronger grip prevents every injury, but because deconditioned muscles and tendons fatigue faster and are more prone to the kind of overuse pattern the research describes.
