An energy drink is not a stronger form of hydration — it is a caffeine-and-sugar delivery system that happens to be wet. The marketing — gaming, extreme sports, neon cans — aims squarely at the group the guidance excludes. For a student athlete or a teen cramming for a test, the answer to tiredness is the unglamorous stack: water, food, and sleep.
Where energy drinks fit for adults
