Ocean covers at least 70% of the earth's planet and is the major water platform present in the world. It also regulates the global temperature and is the home for numerous living thing species.
Climate change is altering the ocean in different ways, the most remarkable ones are: the rise in the temperature (increasing 0.13 Fahrenheit per decade according to NatGio and causing more natural disasters), the rise in the sea level (causing glaciers melting and unexpected flooding in coastal areas) and lose on the ocean chemical balance (causing some species to be prematurely dead or having deformations on the skeleton).
All of the previous has been done due to human footprint, and it is pretty important that we can start to make something different to ensure a planet for our future generations. The planet needs all of us.

1 - Shop with consciousness: While you're shopping or eating, try to choose fish species that you know are healthy and without risk of extinction. Along with that, try to buy products with less plastic and instead, use a reusable bag to make purchases.
2 - Reduce carbon footprint: To help the world, you may use a vehicle with an efficient fuel consumption, ride a bike or walk instead of using a car, and turn off the light when you leave a room.
3 - Educate yourself and support organizations in favor to ocean-protection: Be aware about your local policies, organizations and authorities about ocean conservation, get involve in environmental activities and, if it is within your possibilities consider patronizing them.
At home
4 - Reduce waste: The trash we throw out does not disappear. In fact, most of the plastic and waste that we produce daily goes eventually to the ocean. 5 - Reduce toxic chemicals: Choose to use a non-toxic chemical product to sanitize your food, and vegetables, get rid of insects; and even irrigate your garden.

7 - Use safe practices to travel the ocean: Practice responsible water sports and always be aware about the marine life in the water around you.
8 - Fish in a responsible way: It is really important to practice sustainable fishing to guarantee fishes for years to come. Try to be more aware about proper equipment, species, sensitive areas and regulation to Catch & Release Fishing.
